Winchester Fire Station

One of the few services that hasn’t abandoned the concept of Winchester being a City, the Fire Station still proudly proclaims the fact over it’s , always immaculate, fire trucks.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service HQ is in Leigh Road, Eastleigh, but their workshops are in Easton Lane, Winnall.
The fire station, with the station house next door, are in North Walls.

The Discovery Centre is currently being built to incorporate the old Lending Library, originally built as a Corn Exchange. The Lending Library has been moved to temporary premises now open at Capital House, Andover Road, Winchester, SO23 7BH

Opening times remain the same, and Disabled Parking is available.
The new centre is due to open in 2007 and will house both Lending and Reference collections. The Local Studies collection will move to the Hampshire Record Office in Sussex Street
Parking for 40 cars will be available on the new site.
